Our Process

The process for an initial appointment with our Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, or Physical Therapist via telepractice typically involves the following steps

Our Process

Contact Us

You can reach out to us through our website or by phone to schedule an initial appointment. Let us know your availability and any specific concerns or goals you have for therapy.

Intake Forms

Prior to your appointment, you will be asked to complete intake forms, which may include information about your medical history, insurance, and therapy goals. You may also be asked to provide consent for telepractice services.

Insurance Verification

If applicable, we will verify your insurance coverage and benefits for therapy services. We will inform you of any out-of-pocket costs you may incur. We currently are contracted with United Healthcare FL, more health insurance to follow.

Appointment Confirmation

Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email or text message with details about your appointment, including the date, time, and instructions for accessing the telepractice platform.

Initial Evaluation

During your initial appointment, the therapist will conduct an initial evaluation to assess your current function and abilities. This may include standardized tests, informal observations, and discussions with the client and/or caregivers.

Treatment Plan

Based on the evaluation results and your therapy goals, the therapist will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. This plan may include specific therapy techniques, exercises, and goals for improvement.

Follow-Up Appointments

After your initial appointment, you will schedule follow-up appointments as needed to continue your therapy. These appointments will focus on implementing the treatment plan, monitoring progress, and adjusting the plan as necessary.

Progress Monitoring

Throughout your therapy, the therapist will regularly monitor your progress and make adjustments to your treatment plan as needed to help you achieve your therapy goals.

Discharge Planning

When you have achieved your therapy goals or no longer require services, the therapist will develop a discharge plan. This may include recommendations for continued practice or follow-up care.

Our goal is to provide you with high-quality speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy services that are convenient, effective, and tailored to your individual needs. If you have any questions or concerns about the initial appointment process, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
